CØNNEKT Supports the Theatre Production “I Giallourou” as Communication Sponsor

The En Lefkosia Cultural Group presented Michalis Pasiardis’s play “I Giallourou”, directed by George Constantinou, at Flea Theater in Kaimakli, Nicosia, on 20, 21, 22, 23 and 25 November 2025.
One of the most distinctive works in Cypriot drama, the play is a poetic, moving and humorous journey into the soul and everyday life of Cyprus. Through a contemporary and vibrant theatrical approach, the production honours the island’s language, people and cultural identity.
“Our Giallourou brings to life a Cypriot community in the mid-1960s, caught between the old and the new, the tragicomic and the unexpected, love and passion. Through the humour of the period and Pasiardis’s command of language, the play focuses on rural Cyprus, female strength and humanity’s timeless struggle between right and wrong,” director George Constantinou said.
Michalis Pasiardis (1941–2021) wrote “I Giallourou” in 1961, drawing on Dimitris Lipertis’s poem “I Gialloura”.
The cast included Athina Antonopoulou, Konstantinos Mirallais, Liana Christodoulou, Joanna Evgeniou, Makis Constantinou, Elena Odysseos, Haris Antoniadis, Renos Dianellou and Paulette Pettemeridou. Vasilis Lavrikoff was responsible for lighting and sound, while George Constantinou designed the set.
CØNNEKT Communication Consultants, which specialises in communication for cultural events, was the production’s communication sponsor.
